When pictures say a thousand words!

Happy little faces.

Well-fed children and adults for 5 continuous days at Picnic in the Park Chelmsford.

Being provided with healthy food in the school holidays.

Tasting all kinds are different food.

Food education by councils and partnerships that really care about a community.Teaching in the early years is so very important to these beautiful pre school children.

Watching how to cook new and exciting foods.

The smiles on the children faces.

Children really will try new foods the earlier they are introduced to them.

Learning about making sustainable lower priced healthy foods.

Learning with parents, grandparents and carers together.

Going back to their homes with a bag full of food and a recipe card to make that food at home.

Actually cooking together as a family at home is so enjoyable to these children.

Cooking with the aid and guidance learnt in the cookery workshops every day.

Learning about nutrition.

Eating their 5 a day, every day and coming back for more and more fruits as many times as they wished, until the fruit ran out.

Being sociable with other children.

Adults mixing with other adults, making friendships.

I am running out of space to keep writing more, just look at those children, the delight and concentration in making that meal, of tasting fresh fruits and eating new foods.

What else do these pictures say to you?

It would be nice to hear your comments.
