"Given its potential socio-economic impacts,
Felicitous Foodology's proposed solution is a good case for public funding
that would represent good value for money for the taxpayer"
"Felicitous Foodology have great potential to be an inspirational leader in the space "

In 2021 Felicitous Foodology created an hour in school presentation
delivered to year 5 and 6 pupils.
It proved very popular and was fantastic for us to engage with pupils and teach
them about nutrition, healthy eating, exercise and getting the 5-a-day every day.
We provided pupils and teachers with a visual and interactive hour of learning
enlightening pupils on why it's best, to limit fast and junk foods to moderation only.
We very quickly realised that these 1-hour sessions were not enough
to have any long lasting effects.
We learned from teachers that there was a need for a digital tool that could fit into
PSHE, a standardised programme that could repeat every year throughout all
schools in the borough.
A toolkit that could eliminate teachers training in nutrition,
PPA time and a way in which they could teach cookery lessons more effectively.
And a whole school approach was at the forefront.
While the National Curriculum includes food and nutrition education,
primary school teachers often face challenges in teaching both nutrition and
cookery lessons, due to time constraints and limited resources.
Many schools lack the necessary facilities, equipment, and budget
to provide hands-on cooking experiences.
Food education is crucial for promoting healthy eating habits,
understanding food origins, and developing practical life skills.

In 2023 we created the first UK school based PSHE digital toolkit.
Our digital PSHE teaching tool delivers age appropriate learning in nutrition
and
virtual cookery workshops embedded into each bite size lesson
for year groups 3, 4, 5 and 6
that offer
"an arena for the exploration of food and nutrition
right there in their classrooms"

We uphold the recommendations of the British Nutrition Foundation
in it's characteristics
of good practice in teaching food and nutritional education in schools.
We ensure our recipes progress skill development and are mainly savoury, in order
to promote healthy eating advice.
